Who are these guys, anyway?
Mike Ni and Charlie Hill have been friends since their days as classmates at Harvard Business School, where they bonded over a shared passion for strategy, product development, and the occasional low-stakes poker game.
Mike is a product and GTM executive with a career spanning enterprise leaders like Oracle and PeopleSoft and AI-native innovators like RichRelevance and Coveo. Over two decades, he has launched 12+ products, created 3 market categories, and built platforms that redefine how companies solve their customers’ Jobs to Be Done. At PeopleSoft/Oracle, he led platform product teams driving large-scale shift to embedded intelligence and low-code to deliver adaptive, intelligence-driven solutions. At RichRelevance and Coveo, he transformed AI-relevance from a niche feature into scalable, AI-powered solutions atop relevance engines.
Mike’s expertise lies in embedding intelligence into platforms to rethink solving customer needs while empowering product organizations to adapt and scale to evolving technology capabilities. Whether aligning product strategy with AI-driven innovation or enabling cross-functional teams to redefine how they deliver value to their customers, Mike has consistently helped companies thrive in the age of intelligent systems and enabled partner ecosystems. His experience offers a playbook for product leaders seeking to deliver dynamic solutions and embrace AI as a foundation for market leadership.
Charlie has spent over 25 years as a product leader, strategist and marketer. He began his post-MBA career as a brand manager at Activision, then became an early adopter of the Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) and Disruptive Innovation frameworks in 2003, when he worked with Clayton Christensen and Michael Raynor, authors of the bestselling book The Innovator’s Solution, to manage the launch of Deloitte’s innovation strategy consulting practice. Here he guided product strategy at diverse clients like Johnson & Johnson’s Ethicon Endo-Surgery and Credit Suisse First Boston.
Since then, Charlie has used JTBD to launch successful products at several technology companies — including Getty Images’ Thinkstock platform, and AI- and data-driven innovations in expert networks (GLG), legal-tech SaaS (TrademarkNow / Corsearch) and virtual healthcare (Summus Global). These experiences have taught him that AI is not just fulfilling customer jobs but redefining them, creating fascinating new opportunities for reimagining workflows, delivering cost savings, and launching new solutions — and above all, for realizing creative new possibilities.
